LUMC is a referral center for patients with (possible) muscle diseases. Our mission is to combine high-quality care with innovative research.
LUMC is recognized as a center of expertise for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Becker muscular dystrophy, myasthenic syndromes (myasthenia gravis and LEMS), inclusion body myositis (IBM), facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD), and oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy (OPMD).
