Since 2015, I have been working as a research nurse in the Neurology department at LUMC. In my role, I am responsible for conducting research with study participants (patients or healthy volunteers) according to research protocols. I guide participants through the studies and coordinate the research processes.

Our research focuses on the following neuromuscular diseases: inclusion body myositis (IBM), Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), Becker muscular dystrophy (BMD), Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy (FSHD), Limb-Girdle muscular dystrophy (LGMD) and myasthenia gravis (MG).

The goal is to develop effective and safe therapies for patients with these conditions through scientific research. By conducting these studies, we aim to improve diagnostics, treatment, and care for patients with neuromuscular diseases.
