Since 2002, I have been working as a neurologist at LUMC, and since 2006, I have been registered as a neuromuscular specialist. I am the medical coordinator of the multidisciplinary outpatient clinic for young adults with chronic muscle diseases, particularly Duchenne muscular dystrophy and Becker muscular dystrophy.

At the clinic, I also see carriers of these muscle diseases and patients with other neuromuscular disorders, such as limb-girdle muscular dystrophy and facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD). Additionally, I supervise neurology residents (AIOS) in the neuromuscular disease care pathway.
