My PhD research focuses on the treatment of chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP). The main project within my research is the OPTIC study, which investigates whether adding methylprednisolone (a corticosteroid) to the standard treatment with intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) provides additional benefits for patients with CIDP. The study aims to optimize therapeutic strategies and improve outcomes for individuals living with this condition.
