  • Role: PhD Candidate

In 2023, I began my PhD at the Department of Immunology at Erasmus University Medical Centre in Rotterdam. My research focuses on investigating novel pathogenic antibodies in the paranodal regions associated with immune-mediated neuropathies. The goal of my project is to enhance diagnostic methods for detecting anti-paranodal antibodies and to assess the prevalence of these harmful autoantibodies in patients with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS).

Additionally, I am exploring the role of B lymphocytes in the progression of chronic immune-mediated neuropathies, such as Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) and Autoimmune Nodopathy (AN). Through this research, we aim to improve the diagnostic process, clinical care, and treatment for patients with these conditions.
