  • Role: PhD Candidate

My PhD trajectory focuses on clinical studies on the diagnosis and treatment of CIDP.

CIDP is difficult to diagnose, because it is a rare disorder, and most of the symptoms can also be observed in other diseases. Once diagnosed, patients with CIDP can fortunately be treated. However, it is unclear for how long patients need treatment.

The main aims of my research are to improve the recognition of CIDP in clinical practice, and to optimize currently available treatment strategies for patients with CIDP. Furthermore, I am involved in the T2B project, which investigates the role of B-cells in CIDP, and in clinical trials investigating new treatment options for CIDP.
