From 1988 until my retirement in 2022, I worked as a pediatric rehabilitation physician at Adelante Valkenburg, with one or two half-days of secondment at Maastricht UMC. In 2015, I obtained my PhD on the effect of botulinum toxin injections, either combined with intensive bimanual therapy or this therapy alone, on bilateral hand skills in children with unilateral spastic hand dysfunction due to Cerebral Palsy.

Since early 2024, I have been a member of the Supervisory Board of Stichting Wigwam.
