My PhD trajectory focuses on clinical studies on the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). Main aims of my research are to improve the recognition of GBS in clinical practice, to improve the current prognostic tools for prediction of the disease course of GBS and to develop an alternative design for the conduct of treatment studies on novel treatments for GBS. Using the results of these projects, we hope to facilitate the diagnostic process and improve the clinical care and treatment for patients with GBS.
