Since 2014, I have been working as a Nurse Practitioner at the Neuromuscular Diseases outpatient clinic at UMC Utrecht. Before starting my training as a Nurse Practitioner in 2014, I worked for several years as a pediatric nurse at the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital.
As a Nurse Practitioner, I provide care for patients with Motor Neuron Diseases such as ALS, PLS, and PSMA, and I assess and guide patients with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP). In addition, I have a consulting role for patients and healthcare providers and contribute to professional development initiatives. I am also involved with the Spieren voor Spieren Children’s Center and the treatment of children with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) using Antisense Oligonucleotides.
