My doctoral research focuses on optimizing the diagnosis and treatment of chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP). I coordinated the OPTIC trial between 2021 and 2025. This study investigated whether adding methylprednisolone to the treatment with intravenous immunoglobulins (IVIg) provides additional benefits for patients with CIDP.

Additionally, my research explores the use of advanced techniques, including machine learning, to analyze electromyography (EMG) data. The aim is to improve diagnostic accuracy and provide more precise and reliable methods for diagnosing CIDP.
