Em. Prof. A.A.M. (Arthur) Wilde

Arthur Wilde has spent his career as a cardiologist at the Department of Cardiology, Amsterdam UMC (formerly AMC). He led the department from 2003 to 2019 and served as Chair of the Heart Center AMC divisional board during the last six years of his tenure.
Trained and awarded his PhD at Amsterdam UMC, Arthur specialized in cardiac arrhythmias and the genetic underpinnings of (rare) cardiac diseases. His scientific research focuses on patients with inherited heart conditions and preventing sudden cardiac death.
Since 2017, he has coordinated the European Reference Network for rare cardiac diseases (ERN-GUARD-Heart), furthering international collaboration and advancements in the field.
