Dr. Teuni ten Brink

Teuni has been working at the KCRU as a senior researcher in cognition since May 15, 2024. She has a background in neuropsychology and experimental psychology, and completed her PhD at the KCRU in 2018 on the topic of visual neglect. She then worked at the University of Bath (UK) and Utrecht University. Her work has focused on improving neuropsychological diagnostics through techniques such as eye-tracking. In addition, she has conducted more fundamental research, for example on which attentional processes can become impaired in neglect.

At the KCRU, Teuni conducts research into improving the diagnosis and treatment of people with stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, brain tumors, cerebral palsy, and individuals with muscular diseases who also experience cognitive problems, together with physicians, psychologists, and paramedics.
