Dr. Marloes Lagarde
- Role: Speech Language Pathologist, senior researcher

At the Radboudumc Neuromuscular Center, children with (suspected) neuromuscular diseases are seen at the Amalia Children’s Hospital. Since 2015, I have been working as a speech-language pathologist at Radboudumc, specializing in the assessment and treatment of children with complex feeding and swallowing disorders. I am part of the multidisciplinary team within the Neuromuscular Center, with a specific focus on dysarthria and dysphagia in this population.
My PhD research focused on the added value of instrumented measurements in pediatric dysphagia, and this expertise contributes to ongoing diagnostics and clinical innovations. My research interests include objective assessment tools for pediatric swallowing and feeding difficulties, particularly in children with neuromuscular disorders. I collaborate closely with colleagues from neurology, rehabilitation, and pediatrics, both in clinical care and in translational research projects.
