Dr. Mariska Janssen

Mariska Janssen is currently working as a medior researcher at rehabilitation center Klimmendaal and as a postdoc at the department of rehabilitation at Radboud University Medical Centre, where she also obtained her PhD degree in 2017. The title of her PhD thesis was ‘Upper extremity function in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy – Mechanisms of declined task performance’ and was part of the Flextension A-Gear project, which focused on the development of new arm supports/exoskeletons for boys and men with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. As a postdoc and medior researcher, Mariska is involved in several studies related to neuromuscular disorders, 3D motion analysis, arm supports, fatigability, compensatory mechanisms and adapted sports. In her current role at Klimmendaal, she is involved in research related to movement and performance.
