- Role: Resident in Psychiatry

Early in my career, I became intrigued by changes in thinking and behavior and the role of the brain in these processes. Understanding brain structures, their functions, and the pathophysiology surrounding them has always fascinated me. In particular, I am interested in gaining insight into the translational pathway from patient care to developments at all levels of fundamental research.
Through the study of Duchenne muscular dystrophy, we aim to understand the many clinical manifestations of this disease. Many neuromuscular diseases not only cause muscle-related issues but are also associated with additional physical, cognitive, and behavioral challenges. By combining fundamental and clinical research, we strive to better understand and map these complexities, with the ultimate goal of improving care for individuals with this condition.
