Dr. Jonne Doorduin

Jonne Doorduin works as a clinical technologist and researcher in clinical neurophysiology at Radboud University Medical Center. His research focuses on respiratory muscle function in neuromuscular disorders and developing techniques to measure muscle function. In 2017, he defended his PhD thesis on diaphragm function in intensive care patients. His thesis was awarded the NVIC Thesis Award and the NRS Swieringa Thesis Award for the best thesis in 2017 in the fields of intensive care medicine and pulmonology, respectively.
As a co-supervisor, Jonne oversees research projects on respiratory muscle training in nemaline myopathy patients (Esmee van Kleef), respiratory muscle function in the intensive care setting (Lisanne Roesthuis), and a novel method for measuring muscle relaxation (Joery Molenaar).
