Dr. Femke Stoelinga

  • Role: Pediatric rehabilitation physician

Since 2008, I have been working as a pediatric rehabilitation physician at Amsterdam UMC. I helped establish the Kinderspiercentrum Amsterdam, which officially opened in 2012. This center serves all children from the North Holland region with suspected or confirmed neuromuscular disorders. It offers both a multidisciplinary diagnostic day and a follow-up program, maintaining close collaboration with the CTB Utrecht.

Since 2020, I have also been part of the Amsterdam UMC Expertise Center for FADS and Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC). At the Kinderspiercentrum Amsterdam, we manage the full spectrum of neuromuscular disorders. Our specialized paramedical pediatric team at the rehabilitation outpatient clinic is actively involved in both the diagnosis and treatment of children with neuromuscular conditions, utilizing advanced tools such as gait analysis and exercise testing.

Over the years, I have gained extensive experience supporting children from birth through adulthood, fostering strong connections with colleagues at other neuromuscular centers and peripheral care facilities. I am also a board member of the VRA Neuromuscular Disorders working group and affiliated with the Dutch Center for Neuromuscular Diseases.

Expertise Areas:

• Hereditary Motor and Sensory Neuropathy (HMSN)

• Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC)

• Exercise testing and analysis
