I work in the Department of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology at Amsterdam UMC, focusing on autoimmune diseases such as vasculitis, systemic diseases (which may include or primarily present as myositis), and immunodeficiencies. At Amsterdam UMC, care for patients with myositis is primarily managed by the Neurology Department, with involvement from Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology in treatment planning. I chair the weekly multidisciplinary meeting of specialists involved in the care of patients with systemic autoimmune diseases, including myositis.

I also serve as the coordinator of the Vasculitis Expertise Center at Amsterdam UMC (www.vasculitisamsterdam.nl).
