I am program manager at the Spierziekten Centrum Nederland. In this role I focus primarily on executing the new SCN strategy ‘From trial readiness to treatment readiness’. I am also involved in other SCN projects (involvement) such as neuromuscular care networks, disease registries, talent development, contact with external parties (e.g., neuromuscular foundations, (academic) hospitals, universities, governmental organizations, companies) and funding (applications)/business development.

I have a background in Human Movement Sciences and completed my PhD on ‘Improving physical fitness in neuromuscular diseases’ at the department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Amsterdam UMC. After my PhD I worked several years on (implementation) projects related to my PhD and, more recently, some years at a rehabilitation technology company.
