Jeroen Vermeulen (1963) is appointed as Child Neurologist at the MUMC+ in Maastricht since September 2014. He studied medicine in Amsterdam.
In 2001 he completed his residency in Neurology in the VU Medical Center and Slotervaart hospital in Amsterdam. In 2002 he completed his fellowship child neurology in the VU medical center in Amsterdam. He worked as child neurologist in the VUMC untill September 2014.

His research is focused on early and late effects of neonatal brain damage. He has been president of the Dutch Flemish working group on neonatal neurology (2008-2012).
He is appointed as professor in Child Neurology at the Maastricht University since February 2017.
