Sylvia Klinkenberg works as a pediatric neurologist at MUMC+. She is affiliated with the multidisciplinary neuromuscular consultation for children within MUMC+. There is specific expertise in the areas of myotonic dystrophy, painful neuropathy/small fiber neuropathy, and Duchenne muscular dystrophy at MUMC+, where pediatric neurologists and neurologists work closely together. She is part of the research group associated with the School for Mental Health & Neurosciences (MHeNS) at Maastricht University (UM). Additionally, she is involved with the Center for Neurologically Determined Learning Disorders at Kempenhaeghe, an expertise center for neurocognitive issues, including those related to Duchenne muscular dystrophy and myotonic dystrophy.
