My PhD research focuses on Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP), a condition for which patients are often treated with long-term immunoglobulin therapy. This treatment involves frequent infusions, typically every few weeks, and comes at a high cost.
I am conducting a study to investigate whether patients who have been on immunoglobulin therapy for an extended period and are clinically stable can safely reduce or discontinue their treatment. The goal is to optimize therapy, reduce treatment burden, and improve cost-effectiveness without compromising patient outcomes.
