- Role: PhD Candidate
My doctoral research focuses on optimizing the diagnosis and treatment of chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP). I have taken over the OPTIC study from my colleague, Sander Bus. This study investigates whether adding methylprednisolone to the treatment with intravenous immunoglobulins (IVIg) provides additional benefits for patients with CIDP.
Additionally, my research explores the use of advanced techniques, including machine learning, to analyze electromyography (EMG) data. The aim is to improve diagnostic accuracy and provide more precise and reliable methods for diagnosing CIDP.
